Even though the world is not the same as we imagined it would be a few decades ago, we cannot say that technology is not extremely advanced. Artificial intelligence is used pretty much everywhere and it is helping us get better experiences, improve our way of work, and it prevents many from injuries and taking unnecessary risks. The practical examples of AI applications are hundreds, and here we are going to talk about some of the biggest ones and some of the most interesting ones.

This is one of the things that is the most interesting about artificial intelligence. Have you ever browsed something, or looked for a place where you could go on vacation, and the next day you got an ad for that place or item?

Well, these things happen because of AI. The artificial intelligence gathers data about us, our interests, and searches, and based on that it shows us different ads. Even though this may sound like a bad thing and invasion of privacy, but the reality is, it makes our lives a lot better.

Targeted advertisement helps us find what we need faster, and we usually get better deals and offers when it comes to prices and stores.


To list every application of artificial intelligence in healthcare would take days, and maybe even weeks. These programs and robots help doctors work on better diagnosis, check data faster, and even perform surgeries faster and safer.

In China, radiologists check scans with the help of AI and this helps speed the whole process up. The statistic shows that more than one and a half billion CT scans are done in China alone every year, and this would mean that the doctors have to check too many of them per day and per hour. With the incorporation of artificial intelligence, the scans are checked faster and the doctors can focus on more important things.

Robots are used to perform surgeries, even when the surgeon is not in the operating room, and the machines help get to a more precise diagnosis. This technology is constantly improving and it is said that in the next decade we are going to experience a healthcare revolution that will lead to longer lives and increased quality of life.

One thing that business owners have been worried about is the safety of their crew. In the past, most of the jobs were done with manual labor and that meant that people were more likely to get hurt and the tasks were getting delayed or not properly finished.

No matter the operating system you use, there is an artificial intelligence incorporated in them. If you use iOS, you know it by Siri, if you use Android (specifically Samsung devices), you know it as Bixby, and if you are a Windows user, then you probably use Cortana.

We use this AI every day and Alexa is part of the family as well. These personal assistants learn from the things we do and say, and they help us do things and finish tasks faster. They are programmed to help us in many situations, starting from calling a number, up to looking a recipe instead of us.

Streaming services

Now let’s talk about our favorite pastime – sitting at home and watching our favorite shows. The numbers show that about half a billion people are subscribed to at least one service, and Netflix takes the lead with almost 200 million subscribers around the world. If you are one of those people, you’ve probably noticed that the more things you watch, the better the suggestions are.

Well, the reason you don’t have to browse through all those shows and movies for hours to find something you like, is artificial intelligence. The more you like, the more you watch and the more you interact with the streaming service, the better suggestions you are going to get. The AI analyzes your reactions to everything you follow and recommends things with similar topics or in the same niche.

Artificial intelligence is also used in vehicles, including Tesla, and it leads to better roads, fewer accidents, and improved overall safety. It is also applied in games and gaming systems, as well as finance, business, and space explorations.

It is said that this is only the beginning and that soon we will use these programs and bots everywhere. They are making our lives easier; they are helping us find better products and they are improving our health and wellbeing.
