Sculpsure vs. Coolsculpting

Apart from the apparent coronavirus epidemic that struck the world recently, it seems we have been living in a fat obsession epidemic even longer. Even if these things cannot be generalized, most women have been in constant combat with that stubborn fat ever since they enter adulthood. Part of this burden is probably placed on them by the constant media pressure, that is setting the standard of a perfectly shaped woman everyone would like to become. Are these women a reality or just a false representation of perfection created by the media? Are these standards even reachable? It is hard to tell. But one thing is for sure, the pressure of having to look perfect has never been this intense.

On the other hand, there have never been more shortcuts/techniques that offer a quick solution to each physical imperfection. The beauty industry offers new solutions every couple of years, and now you can remove your imperfections much faster than before. You can get a variety of fat reducing treatments in places like SeaMist medspa guarantee you will look and, more importantly, feel perfect.

As for the fat-reducing techniques go, for decades, we have been relying on liposuction surgeries, which were at least accessible to some. It has been, and still, one of the most famous fat reducing surgeries worldwide. However, since this is a surgery, it is a somewhat invasive technique. During the surgery, a suction of the fat in different body areas is performed, resulting in the area forming differently from before. The fat cells are removed, but this is not a technique that can reduce cellulite. Plus, it can be rather frustrating having to undergo a surgery every time you notice fat pilling up in a part of your body.

Luckily, non-invasive techniques of removing the fat have been developing, and now we are in the era of SculpSure and CoolSculpting. These non-invasive techniques are heaven-sent for all those areas still having fat on them. A regular workout routine can’t solve. Some even describe them as a magical solution to fat. It doesn’t get any better.

What exactly are these procedures and the differences between them, which one is better suitable for you, we’ll clarify in the further text?

Sculpsure is a non-invasive approach to killing the fat cells in different body areas by heating them. During the procedure, the area you wish to treat from fat is exposed to the lasers, which send heating bellow your skin, reaching and warming up fat cells to the point of their destruction. Once they are destroyed, that’s it. The result is irreversible.
CoolSculping is also a non-invasive approach to removing fat, but by an opposite method, by cooling.

Now, you must wonder where these procedures by applied can?

Well, as it is the case with all the medical and cosmetic procedures, they have to be approved by the FDA. When it comes to SculpSure, the procedure has been approved to be applied to the following areas: the double chin, love handles, stomach, back, and thighs. As for the CoolSculping, it can remove fat from a wider region of your body: the abdomen, “love handles,” thighs, upper arms, “bra fat,” back fat, “banana roll” underneath your butt, and “double chin”. One thing remains tricky, though. Your cosmetician has to decide whether the area you wish to treat has enough body fat for CoolSculping. You can also recognize this yourself. By analyzing the site, make sure you have at least an inch or two of additional fat and that you can pinch it. If this is the case, then most probably you can get the procedure done in that area.

How do these procedures work?

SculpSure procedure works in a way that the beauty technician will apply a flat applicator on the area of your body, which will then work to heat your fat cells. This heat has a destroying effect on your fat cells, but at the same time will not cause discomfort on the surface of your skin. As the fat cells are being heated and destroyed, the plates at the same time have a cooling effect on the surface of your skin. The treated area will afterward feel smoother. Also, the area can seem to be thinner right after. The procedure can be performed in a couple of different areas of your body at the same time. The technician will apply for the plates, and the whole treatment will be over in approximately 25 minutes.

CoolSculping has the same effect- removing the fat cells, but by freezing them. During the procedure, the applicator applies suction to the treated area, which then slowly starts bringing down the temperature of the cells until they start freezing. An important thing to know, regardless of how “cold” this procedure sounds, there will be no damages to the rest of the tissue. The applicator calculates the temperature, which is safe and doesn’t go below it. Unlike SculpSure, CoolSculping lasts a bit longer, between 35 minutes and one hour.

How do I know which procedure will work better for me?

Both procedures offer the same effect, but there are a couple of things to consider before. The first thing is the sensitivity of your skin. SculpSure’s exposure to the heat will not damage, but a slight discomfort can appear if you’re sensitive. CoolSculping is a better solution then because freezing causes the feeling of calm. After all, you are practically not feeling anything. You can expect swelling and slight bruises after both procedures. The second important thing is to be sure the treated is enough fat for CoolSculping, as we already mentioned. If the area is less affected, then choose SculpSure. It will work better in less affected areas.

Whichever procedure you choose will have a satisfying effect after a couple of weeks. But to avoid exposure to more treatments, make a conscious decision to change your eating habits, drink more water, and do more sports.
